A young family is moving from the city to the village.
The opening data for the planning were non-standard, a quarter-circle shaped lot and a shared wall with a neighbor on a high lot.
The design was based on a separation between public and private, exposed versus concealed. The house was planned on two floors, with the public area on the lower level and the living area on the upper level.
The geometric shape of the lot determined the placement and orientation of the building.
Facing the street are the kitchen, the utility room, and the bathroom, while facing the garden are the living room and the children’s bedrooms.
A double space in the living room brings in natural light and ventilation, saves energy, and makes use of the natural resources that characterize the area.
