A couple’s apartment plus 2, located in a Brutalist building in a neighborhood that is rapidly changing and transforming with a view of a lovely neighborhood garden.
70 sqm of concrete that limited the freedom to demolish and redesign led out on a journey.
Two spaces were defined as central, the kitchen and the bathroom. Playing with colors/ geometric shapes gave the rooms a sense of space and a feeling of size and openness.
The apartment was old and dark. We stripped the walls, exposed the columns, and let light in along with the branches of the trees.
The design of the apartment was based on a combination of vintage and modern elements, with clean finishing materials, complementary furniture, and second-hand lighting.
In the bedrooms, we kept the original closets, which added character, and added embedded storage spaces in the room.
